Your support evolves as you do, guided by my experience as a certified coach, Marine Corps veteran, and educator.
2. What are your coach’s qualifications?
I’m a certified running coach (UESCA, McMillan) with additional training in personal training and wellness coaching. I’m also a Marine Corps veteran and former tactics instructor, with close to two decades of leadership experience. I’ve been passionate about running since high school, and I’m a finisher of the Honolulu, New York City, and Twin Cities Marathons. I’ve also earned top placements in numerous local races, including overall and age-group awards.
I bring a unique blend of athletic, military, and coaching expertise to my clients, supported by advanced degrees in journalism and creative writing, plus ongoing professional development in leadership and project management.
3. Is coaching only for experienced runners?
Absolutely not. Most of my clients are beginners or returning to running. Whether your goal is your first 5K or simply building a consistent, healthy routine, your plan starts at your level and adapts as you progress.
4. How are training plans created and delivered?
All plans are tailored to your fitness, schedule, and goals. I use Final Surge—a leading training platform—to deliver your plan, monitor your progress, and provide feedback. Everything stays organized and accessible in one place.
5. How does Final Surge work, and do I need special equipment?
Final Surge keeps training simple. You’ll get your workouts, log your runs, and track your progress all in one platform. It syncs with most major GPS running watches (Garmin, Coros, Polar, Suunto, and more), so your data uploads automatically. Don’t have a watch? No problem—you can log workouts manually using the app or website. Either way, I’ll see your progress and provide timely feedback.
